SYA @ Youth Harmony Festival

Sikh Youth Australia has been invited to participate in the 2010 Youth Harmony Festival, organised by the Community Relations Commission. The Festival will bring together young people from many different cultures and faiths. The Festival will promote an inclusive environment where the contributions of young people will be showcased and valued.

 

SYA will be participating in TWO events and is seeking your help to make this happen!

 

1 – Youth Harmony Festival Entertainment

 

Calling all Sikh Youth who would like to participate in the Sydney Youth Harmony Festival (entertainment) BHANGRA, GIDDHA AND KIRTAN. 

 

SYA has been given a prime slot to perform in front of many hundreds of people. We are looking to showcase our fine culture and heritage with youths who wish to display their special talents in dancing, musical instruments and singing.

2 – SYA Outreach Stall

 

We are also establishing a SYA stall which will display many elements of our Sikh religion and Culture. We will be giving away publications on Sikhism, selling T-Shirts and Kirtan CDs etc.

 

 It is a wonderful opportunity for our youths and parents to interact with others of different faiths and cultures and tell them our unique story.
