SYA is looking to prepare a Strategic Plan for the future of our organisation - defining its vision, goals and identifying programs and services it should provide for our Sikh youth in Australia and the wider community going forward. We seek your ideas and suggestions to help us shape our future direction as a successful and sustainable Sikh organisation in the service of our youth.

Sikh youths attending the Youth Harmony Festival held at Tumbalong Park in Sydney's Darling Harbour on Sunday, 11th March, were a great hit. Manning a Sikh outreach stall put up by Sikh Youth Australia, they distributed Sikh literature donated by Sydney's gurdwaras.
The youths also sang a special shabad for the occasion and put up a fantastic cultural performance.

In September this year, a group of young Sikhs had the opportunity to travel to Canberra and rub shoulders with Australia’s top political, business and community leaders. They were among 200 of Australia’s brightest young men and women who were nominated to attend the National Student Leadership Forum (NSLF) held in the nation’s capital.

The only one of its kind in the world, the internationally acclaimed 35 member "Sri Dasmesh" Band's recent ANZAC tour of Sydney (17-26 April 2009) was a groundbreaking success! Organised by SYA, the tour significantly raised the profile of the Sikh Community in the wider mainstream Australian community.
Over the past 12 years, SYA has been dedicated to providing a unified, organised resource centre to help Sikh Youth reach their potential in all key areas of their lives and to developing a strong, positive image of the Sikh community in Australia.
