It's finally here.

The Young Sikh Professionals Network (YSPN), an initiative of SYA, is proud to announce its inaugural event, ‘Climbing the Mountain to Success: Leveraging your Networks’ to be held on 17 April 2013.

After a successful preview event that surpassed all expectations, YSPN is proud to reveal our highly distinguished and eminent panel for the evening, Deloitte Australia CEO, Giam Sweigers and Scientia Professor of Neuropsychiatry UNSW, Dr Perminder Sachdev AM.

Some quick facts on our speakers:

  •  Giam Swiegers took his office in 2003 and led the firm to achieve CFO Magazine's, 'Accountancy Firm of the Year' award in 2006 and 2008.He is the steward of a firm with over $1 billion in revenue and comprises 5,500 people with over 500 partners
  • Along with being the Scientia Professor of Neuropsychiatry, Dr Perminder Sachdev is the Director of the Centre for Healthy Brain Ageing, and the clinical Director of the Neuropsychiatric Institute at the Prince of Wales Hospital. He has received numerous awards, including the NSW Scientist of the Year in Biomedical Sciences (2010)and the Order of Australia Medal in 2011

We will be taking you up close and personal with these highly eminent speakers, by using an interactive panel forum. You will have the opportunity to understand how two men at the peak of their careers climbed the mountain to success and personally ask them how they grew and leveraged their networks to get there.

The function will provide attendees plenty of opportunities to ask questions and mingle amongst your fellow aspiring young Sikhs, as well as opportunities to win prizes. (I will elaborate at our team meeting)
