Many of you would have been involved in one program or another organised by SYA over the past 21 years. This will be a fantastic opportunity to reconnect and meet your fellow campers and members. We encourage you to bring your friends, family and loved ones for this special dinner event which will feature:

  1. Entertaining music and dance performances by a range of Australian-Sikh artists, including Rooh Punjab Dee and Down to Bhangra;
  2. A celebration of SYA’s progress across the last 21 years serving over 100,000 members of the Australian community;
  3. A fundraiser of specially commissioned Sikh artwork; and
  4. A delectable Indian fusion spread by Surjit’s Catering

With prominent politicians and celebrities at the event, we will also be taking this opportunity to launch two very special initiatives:

Launch of SYA’s 21st Anniversary Book

To capture the essence of SYA’s initiatives and the commitment, dedication and tireless efforts of hundreds of passionate volunteers, a team led by author, Surinderjeet Singh, have dedicated the past 18 months to conducting interviews and trawling through thousands of photos to collate and publish this tremendous anniversary memento. The 160-page full-colour, hardcover book which showcases the activities, programs and participants of SYA over the last 21 years will be available for purchase on the evening.

The Australian Sikh Awards for Excellence

In what is an Australian first, the Sikh Awards for Excellence are intended to recognise individuals in the Sikh community who have gone over and beyond in their contribution to the socio-economic development of Australia. Nominees will be acknowledged across a range of fields including sport, arts, medicine, media and entertainment, education and charity.

So get in quick with your family and friends and secure your table today for this not to be missed event! We look forward to celebrating with you.
