Sikh Youth Australia - the name says it all! We are a body built around and for the Sikh Youth of this great Southern land!
Since 1998, SYA has sought to provide a vehicle for Sikh Youth to become actively involved, contribute, participate and keep abreast of:
- Sikh Awareness
- Sikh Community Affairs
- Cultural Programs
- Sikh Traditions
- Life Skills
- Leadership Programs
Through such initiatives and affiliations with other Sikh organizations, SYA is dedicated to promoting Love, Peace, Understanding and Practice of Sikh values in all aspects of life in multicultural Australia.
Ultimately, SYA is dedicated to enriching and empowering Sikh Youth to become model Australian Sikh citizens and leaders in their chosen professions and the community.
SYA provides Sikh youth, their families and friends an environment of fun, love and learning and welcomes the participation and contribution of all Sikhs interested in building a strong, vibrant community which will keep alive our rich traditions, culture, moral values and proud record of professional excellence.
Sikh Youth Australia is and will remain a "Not for Profit" and a charitable organisation. SYA is dedicated to provide and make available a unified, organised resource centre enabling Sikh Youth to reach their potential in all key areas of their lives.
SYA seeks to provide opportunities for Sikh Youth to network and expand their social horizons by meeting other Sikhs, thereby creating powerful networks and community links from a young age. SYA is committed to providing a friendly, informed and interactive environment for spiritual education to its youth, empowering them with the freedom to explore their own spirituality within the context of a changing world. It aims to deliver the pure nectar of the universal Sikh message in a language future generations of Sikh youth will both appreciate and comprehend.
By seeking out successful Sikh entrepreneurs, community leaders and mentors, SYA aspires to inspire and challenge the Sikh youth to profoundly maximise their potential for personal development.
With the assistance, and support of all the Sikh community and ultimately with Guru's Grace SYA aims to make a modest contribution to Sikhi and the Sikh community in Australia and beyond.
